Hendrix's Eccentric Commentary

Today I fell victim to the deadliest ambush known to mankind, more dangerous than Seal Team 6 in an L ambush backed up by attack helicopters and JDAMs:  The Hendrix Household Escalating Work Ambush.

It unfolds in this fashion:  The hapless victim sets out to accomplish Task A.  To accomplish Task A it is first necessary to accomplish Task B.  Working Task B means that it is logical to do Task C as well.  Completing Task C can only be accomplished with a tool or object that requires Task D which leads to Task E and so on ad infinitum. 

Finally when the exhausted victim calls an end to the madness, he or she will discover that they had completely ignored the original Task A — in effect they had become so wrapped up in draining the entire swamp that they never dealt with the solitary alligator they set out to wrestle.
