Hhhhmmmm, let’s see:  It’s right before an election in a blue city;  ICE conducts raids that spark popular protests; the Federal Government decides, contrary to the wishes of the mayor and governor, that federalized National Guard and regular troops are needed to restore order;  elections must be “postponed” until “order is restored” and local government is “functioning properly;” in fact, the federal government must take over the management of elections to ensure that they are “fair” and “properly conducted;” the results are surprising.

Never could happen here, right. That’s crazy.  Conspiracy thinking, right?
