It is becoming impossible to keep up with the craziness coming from Donald Trump and his administration, but it is worth pointing out that just blowing-up ships at sea whenever we want because we think that they are smuggling drugs, at one and the same time, violates the laws of the sea, is illegal, stupid, risks having other governments decide that that is OK (maybe blowing away an American ship because they think it might be doing something bad) eliminates the chance of getting information from prisoners (we could have captured them) and generally pisses much of the world off for no particular reason except it makes Trump and Hegseth look tough.

Perhaps we could call it Operation Faux Masculinity.
